**The cigar.** A single leaf of Cuban-seed Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro, criollo '98, single-farm, aged fifteen years. Inside: twenty-five-year Nicaraguan ligero from Jalapa, thirty-year Dominican piloto cubano, and a thread of Pennsylvania Perique for top-note sweetness and spice. The filler rests for six months in a sealed Spanish cedar chamber misted with The Macallan 1926, the most expensive whisky ever sold at auction.
**The band.** The wrapper is finished with a hand-applied band of 24-karat gold leaf. A removable platinum band carries an 8-carat D-flawless GIA-certified round-brilliant diamond.
**The evening.** The cigar is the souvenir. The evening is the product.
The buyer is flown to Texas and brought to the rolling table. A Cuban-born master torcedor rolls their Reserve in front of them. One cigar. Made to order. Named to them. They smoke it with Eric Schleien at the bench.
The 8-carat diamond and the stabilized Texas mesquite-burl humidor, with sterling silver hinges and a Lalique crystal inset, go home with the buyer.
